Everton will begin Frank Lampard’s first full season in charge with a blockbuster Goodison Park Premier League game against the manager’s former club Chelsea.
The fixture on Saturday 6 August is set for a 5.30pm kick-off and will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Everton pack five matches into the season’s opening month – before the first Merseyside derby of 2022/23 takes place on September 3 at Goodison.
Lampard takes his side to Aston Villa for Everton’s opening away match on Saturday 13 August.
The following week, on Saturday 20 August, there is a first meeting with Nottingham Forest since January 1999 as Steve Cooper brings his newly-promoted team to L4.

And Everton are poised to play at Forest’s City ground for the first time in nearly a quarter of a century when manager Cooper’s team host the Blues on Saturday 4 March.
Everton finish August with successive matches on the road; against Brentford on Saturday 27 and three days later at Leeds on Tuesday 30.
A unique program for the forthcoming campaign features a break of more than six weeks for the World Cup, which gets under way on 21 November.
Everton’s final match ahead of the competition in Qatar is away against Bournemouth on Saturday 12 November.
Lampard’s team return to action on Boxing Day when Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to Goodison.
Everton go to champions Manchester City on New Year’s Eve and start 2023 with a home game against Brighton & Hove Albion on 2 January.
The return Merseyside derby at Anfield is in the calendar for Saturday 11 February.
A rush of 10 games between 1 April and 28 May concludes the season, with Everton finishing at home against Bournemouth, back in the Premier League following a two-year absence.
Fulham, meanwhile, return to the top-flight after one year away and Everton go to Craven Cottage on Saturday 29 October. The team from south-west London are due at Goodison on Saturday 15 April.
The meeting with Chelsea represents a speedy renewal of hostilities after Everton beat the London club in a tense Goodison contest on 1 May.
Indeed, Chelsea have come unstuck on their past four visits to this corner of Merseyside.
Two matches in the initial calendar are likely to shift back 24 hours. Everton’s away game at Arsenal is penned in for Saturday 10 September and Manchester United, under the new management of Erik ten Hag, are scheduled to be at Goodison on Saturday 8 October.
Those games, however, are poised for Sundays to accommodate Europa League fixtures for Arsenal and United on the preceding Thursdays.
